We are always looking for enthusiastic, reliable French-speaking substitute teachers to join our substitute pool.

Competitive Daily Pay
Notre École offers an incentive-based pay scale for substitute teachers:
Starting rate: $160 per day
After 30 days of subbing: $170 per day
After 60 days of subbing: $180 per day
Substitute days reset at the beginning of each school year.
Requirements
To become a substitute teacher at Notre École, you will need to:
Speak French.
Hold a valid Minnesota Short-Call Substitute Teaching License. (Don't have one? See below for information on how to obtain a license.)
Complete a Minnesota W-4 and Federal W-4.
Complete the Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9).
Provide two forms of identification verifying your authorization to work in the United States (for example, a driver's license and Social Security card, or a passport).
Complete a background check. The cost is $25, payable to Notre École. Background checks are completed online.

Need a Substitute Teaching License?
How to Obtain a Minnesota Short-Call Substitute Teaching License
Don't have a substitute teaching license yet? If you hold a U.S. bachelor's degree (or an equivalent degree evaluated by a NACES-approved agency), you may be eligible to apply for a Minnesota Short-Call Substitute Teaching License, which is valid for three years and allows you to substitute for up to 15 consecutive days for the same classroom teacher.
Application Requirements
To apply, you will need to:
Complete the online application and submit the required fee through the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB).
Complete a Minnesota fingerprint card, which can be requested during the online application process.
Submit official, sealed transcripts verifying your U.S. bachelor's degree.
If your degree was earned outside the United States, you must provide a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved evaluation agency.
Please have your college or university send the official transcripts directly to you. Do not open the sealed envelope; include it unopened with your licensure application materials.
